Prior to moving to Canada, the Proxima team has worked in the lighting industry back home for many years. In 2012, we established our lighting company in Canada and named it Proxima after the closest solar system to ours. Here we wanted to show our projects that were done outside of Canada by the Proxima team.

Azadi Tower & Square
Before moving to Canada, Proxima team designed the Milad Tower lighting in 2006. Due to the complexity of the design, this project was one of our most successful and eye-catching projects ever.

Isfahan Convention Center
Riding high among the rooftops in Vancouver, the Weathervane sculpture was illuminated by Proxima just before Christmas 2019. Proxima illuminated this conceptual artwork through outdoor LED flood lights emitting suitable SPD of light and are equipped with special lenses and shields to control the light rays to avoid lighting pollution.

UBC Chapel
Proxima has been selected to design the lighting for Epiphany Chapel at the University of British Columbia. Considering the ongoing needs, the chapel is converted into a dual-purpose facility that serves as both a classroom and a prayer place. With this in mind, The Proxima team designed a custom lighting system that can support both functions.

Meristem Chapel
Proxima team designed both interior and exterior lighting for Meristem Chapel located in South Surrey. This small memorial chapel is nestled down on the banks of a river with beautiful views of the forest all around. Hence, during the design process we consider the importance of atmosphere, as well as aesthetic judgment of the chapel from the surrounding area.

Esquimalt
Proxima team designed the interior lighting for the Esquimalt residence located in West Vancouver. Considering daily activities, we designed a custom lighting system that can support all functions in the house.

In designing the space of the Cardero residence, we wanted to preserve the traditional sense of the space while making it a comfortable yet attractive area for relaxing and doing daily activities.

Crestline
In designing the space of the Crestline residence, we consider the importance of visual comfort, social communication, mood, and atmosphere, as well as the aesthetic judgment of the residence from the surrounding area. Hence, we focus on the quality of light and how it interplays with different surfaces.

Proxima team designed the interior lighting for the McKechnie residence to enhance the interior design and architecture. Special lighting effects were used in this project as lighting affects how people feel about being in a space so it’s essential to create the required ambiance.

City Theatre
The City Theater is a performing arts complex in Tehran, the capital of Iran and is considered as the main outlet of Iran's artistic theater. During the design process, the key consideration is utilizing interactive lighting to reinforce the character of the place in order to attract locals and tourists, as well as increase the sense of belonging to the community.

Sarvestan Palace
The Sarvestan Palace is a Chahar Taq structure reminiscent of fire temples located in Shiraz, Iran. By using precise architectural lighting, the Proxima team illuminated the historical landmark at night to bring out the forgotten story of the palace and expose every intricate detail of the historical heritage.

Bellingham Heritage Building
Proxima designed the Bellingham historical building's exterior lighting to highlight its historical heritage at night. Incorporating a sustainable LED lighting system, enhances the sense of belonging to the city and highlights the character of the site being illuminated.

Eram Garden
Eram Garden is one of the older and more famous gardens in the Middle East. The landscape lighting design for this garden was done by our team in 2012. The concept of this design focused on bringing back the sense of place and feeling of walking in the garden as if there is still sun shining.

Richmond Residential
During our design process for the Richmond residence landscape lighting, special lighting effects were used in this project to prevent light pollution. Hence, our outdoor light collection was utilized to illuminate and highlight the home’s architecture and landscape.

West Vancouver Residential
Proxima team was in charge of designing landscape lighting for a West Vancouver private residence. This involves outdoor fixtures that come in a variety of color temperatures to enhance the home’s exterior and minimize light pollution. Additionally, we also designed a custom 2in1 wood bollard light that includes a linear light and spotlight to illuminate its driveway.

Bernard Block
Proxima designed exterior lighting for this multi-purpose complex in Kelowna back in 2020. This project includes a 34-story residential tower and a 17-story office block. Our team also designed the iconic bollard inspired by a unique building's arch, which is an outdoor 44m continuous tube light c/w color control and redundant light system, allowing it to be maintainable segment by segment.

The philosophy of Proxima is to meet not only quantitative needs but also qualitative requirements. Our philosophy has led the Proxima team to design and supply the feature lighting system for the common elements of the building, such as walkways, entrances, facades, lobbies, and amenity areas.

Proxima designed the feature lighting system for the Pandora tower, located in the heart of Victoria. During the design process, we consider the importance of visual comfort, social communication, mood, and atmosphere, as well as the aesthetic judgment of the tower from the surrounding area.

Proxima team illuminated both exterior and interior lighting of Cambridge Business Center located in Surrey. To highlight the facility, we use the existence of interior light in concept, lighted arches, vertical liner lights, and many more!

Penny Autobody Shop
Proxima team designed the interior lighting for the Penney Autobody Shop in 2022. During the design process, we consider the importance of visual comfort, social communication, mood, and atmosphere to highlight details while also serving as general lighting for daily use.

Proxima team designed the lighting concept for Columbia Theater in order to enhance the demonstration of the historical architectural features and highlight the small details.

Bellmont Private Art Gallery
Three Light Scenes have been designed for the interior lighting of Belmont Private Art Gallery in Vancouver. The accent light scene for focusing on art objects, and the wall washer light scene targets wall hang artworks and the general light scenes for daily purposes.

Pacific Plastic Surgery Clinic
Proxima team was in charge of designing and furnishing the lighting system of Pacific Plastic Surgery Clinic. The design concept was to provide a calm and clean space suited for this application by using the 4000k color temperature and uniform soft linear lighting that was custom designed for corridors.

Proxima team was in charge of designing and furnishing the lighting system of 8 West Clinic. In order to light up posters and signs on the wall, the Roni Wall Washer series was used, and to avoid glare on the receptionist's computer screens, the Darklans fixture was utilized.

Lynn Valley Care Center
During the design process of the Lynn Valley senior care center, we calculated the lighting based on the site conditions, building orientation, and the needs of the care population. In designing lighting for senior living, the key consideration is a visual adaptation to ensure that their needs are supported.

Bowen Island Center
The lighting design for Bowen Island Care Center is designed to mitigate the senior's ability to discern color contrast and other vision issues that can occur with aging to ensure the overall safety of the residents. The lighting promotes circadian response, which involves balanced daylight and night light to assist with adaptation. This may involve shielded direct lighting or indirect lighting to minimize glare and shadows.
